In this section, you can find out more about my writing, with drop-down pages dedicated to each of my novels.
Media review of Dreams:
"Dreams is a portrait of humanity's greatest downfall: the hubris of intellect over emotion. It questions the ability of its characters to escape this hamartia, from friendship to family, sex to love, and blood to water. Whilst logic pulls one way, Fox's characters greedily pursue courses of action that can only lead to devastation. Whether pursuing an impossible love or sating despicable cravings, Dreams leaves no stone unturned in its quest for the truth," - LILY LAYCOCK.

NOVELS I LIKE TO READ
Primarily, this site is about the novels I write. But what about the books I read? What genres interest me; who are my favourite authors; which books would I recommend to others? Here's a flavour of my tastes...
Kazuo Ishiguro is a master of his trade, and I loved The Remains of the Day and Never Let Me Go. Writing doesn't get better than that!
Sarum, by Edward Rutherford, was one of the most immersive books I've come across. Ten thousand years of history from prehistoric times right up to the 1980s. Set in and around Salisbury, England.
Living in Oxford, it's nice to come across books that are set locally - and there are plenty of those to choose from. Iain Pears' An Instance of the Fingerpost was gripping, as was Blood on the Stone, by Jake Lynch.
I've always been a fan of Sebastian Faulks and Dan Brown. I don't care what anyone says about the latter - his thrillers are page-turners, and most of the criticism he receives is, in my opinion, ridiculous.
I am currently working my way through the voluminous tomes of Ken Follett's Kingsbridge series.
If you have any recommendations for me, I'd love to hear from you.
